In what situations does replacing keys or hinges solve the problem:

  • If the characters on your keys have worn off, simply replace them with ones in good condition.
  • If you have lost one or more keys.

  • If your keys have been damaged by a cigarette burn or excessive heat from a hair dryer.
  • If your pets chew or scratch the keyboard – cats, dogs, or other pets may chew, scratch, or step on the keyboard, causing keycaps to become dislodged or damaged.
  • If your children pull off keys – young children often find keyboards fascinating and may remove keys out of curiosity or while playing.
  • If a heavy object has fallen on your keyboard and broken some keys.
